Two questions

Two questions from me this evening..

Firstly, I'm pretty sure my trusty Soundblaster sound card has died after many years and several builds.. My question is this; With the advancements in on board audio these days, is the investment of a sound card worth while for games/simulators anymore?

Second, Currently my OS and X-plane are installed on a 240gb SSD. My friend has in his computer a pair of SSD in RAID0. Would I get any appreciable benefit in load times from doing this? or is a single SSD as quick as I can reasonably expect to get?

System Specs: ASRock z170 motherboard, Core i7 Quad-Core @4.0 ghz. Geforce GTX 960 4GB graphics. 16GB Gskill Ripjaw DDR4 Ram
