Saitek pro flight throttle potentiometer solved, maybe

I just bought a second hand one. I've seen guides cleaning which helps, however, the small coil contact I found to be the problem.

 

I raised the contact points to ensure they sufficiently touch the "receiver". Hey presto, no potentiometer bounce.

 

I hope I've base myself clear, I didn't think to take photos and I can't find any pictures of the part I mean either, but it's the small, round plastic backing with the silver coil like contacts that sits inside the potentiometer.

 

I've not seen anybody address this, I've seen replacement pots, people struggling to find similar pots and cleaning, but not the contact points on there.
