Saving a 'flight' with FSX B737-800 engines off

Regarding the standard FSX B737-800.

Is there a way of saving a flight with say the engines OFF and the APU on and running OR even a 'cold and dark' situation.

I tried setting these and then pressed the ';' key and saved the FLIGHT. When I loaded this 'flight' everything was back to how it normally starts up ie engines running, apu off etc.

If this is not possible what B737's are available which will allow this (part from the PMDG 737).

Thanks

John

What I do is take the stock Baron parked wherever, turn everything off except the Master Avionics, mixture at Full Rich, and save it as "Cold & Dark."

Then load that save up, swap aircraft and locations and start 'er up.

The reason for the Master Avionics on is that the stock 738 doesn't have it by default.

Hope that helps. :)

Thanks Slammr

Tried that and it works.

It would be good though if the B738 could be saved as "cold and dark".

BTW for your info and others who read this -

I flew on a B738 recently and noticed at Sydney (YSSY) that Virgin uses remote controlled tugs for pushback which are attached to one of the main undercarriage NOT the nosewheel.

The ground staff in communication with the cockpit walked out with the aircraft and at the end of pushback be disconnected his comms cable walked to the tug, climbed in and drove it away. The tug had been disconnected from the aircraft undercarriage and reversed a short distance away remotely also.

Make sure you check the box "make this default flight".

Unless, of course, you don't want it to be your default flight setup. :)

For example, my default flight is the very same Baron (because it's my "go-to" plane), running as per usual, and many times I don't have time to go through all the checklists and manually start my baby up. So my default flight is called "Matt001" (because that's my name). ;) Well, at least the "Matt" part.
