Cheese-loving Latvian

Some people will travel great distances for really good Asiago. I think this is the best Asiago around.

Freeware Orbx scenery and the not-at-all-cheesy Alabeo Piper Tomahawk! A tasty combination. :p — Bob

I flew one of those in Yuma for a while, working on getting my license back. Until I lost an eye and had to give that hope up, anyway.

Tomahawk 25818. Scary sometimes, getting into the pattern at MCAS with those BIG, fast, and armed aircraft! I often got told to spin it to let them go by, cause I was too slow. Especially when my squadronmates in VMFT-401 were in the pattern. Those Kfir land FAST! Glad they have such a long runway, though. That thing floats pretty good in the ground effect. Especially on a very hot day. Of which Yuma has many, many more than it's share, believe me! Gad how I hated that place, for nearly 30 years. Blah...

Anyway, great pics of that little bird! The scenery was awesome too! Thank you for a wonderful post :D

Had a thought...then there was the smell of something burning, and sparks, and then a big fire, and then the lights went out! I guess I better not do that again!

Well, Bob, when I read the title, I was eager to get into it because I assumed you were throwing a challenge to H.R.M. the worlds finest aviator, but not so. Just a tease to get me to look. Glad I did, loved your little Tomahawk, very pretty.

Thanks all.

I've never been in a Tomahawk for real but if the Flightsim version is even remotely faithful I'm sure I would enjoy the experience.

BTW, this Latvian livery is the only European one I have, and I always try to match the plane to the scenery – however remotely.

Seriously? The Noble Airman really has such a strong association with cheese? (I mean apart from the smell!) — Bob

Heck, cheese is 50% of the cargo he hauls! Beer being the other half. I can only imagine the smells his passengers have to put up with. And then there's the cheese! :D :D

I think the main reason he has so many water landings is to wash up, more than anything else.

As Jar-Jar says, "PEEEEEE-YOU-Sa!"

Sorry, Jan, I just couldn't resist. :)

Aye! Is Jan "cutting the cheese" again? I always thought there was a cloud of smoke following him around!;)

Great shots of the Tomahawk and scenery, Bob!:D

Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!  ✈️

Why do I suddenly detect a flock of nose punches heading this way?

  :D

I think a requirement for boarding one of his flights is a current Swim Qual...

Have fun!
