State of Mad Catz/Saitek inventories

I have 10 Pro Flight Instrument panels and want a couple more. If you try to buy them from anybody that has any in stock, your met with INSANE prices (Amazon $374.93~$736.12 EACH!!! Not for 6 of them... EACH). Anybody out of stock showing 90 day delays. I won't tie up cash for back-orders... just won't do it.

 

Heard Mad Catz laid off some employees. Has anybody heard if this is temporary shortages or are they going out of business?

 

P.S. Also noticed CH Products has shortages on some products

Here's what I learned from Sun 'n Fun: The factory in China that manufacturers Saitek products has stopped delivering and are holding the assets. These assets include the molds and other stuff that are used by Saitek.

 

It was a Florida-based flight sim company that was talking to Pat at the Iris Dynamics display that was saying this. If it's true, that would explain the hike in aftermarket pricing.

Wonder if CH Products uses the same Chinese factory.
