Newbie Looking For New Zealand Scenery

Recommended Posts

You can check the library here on Flightsim, and Avsim, Simviation, Flyaway Simulation, and probably a few dozen more :D One of the best for finding what you want anywhere in the world is http://freewarescenery.com/. Tons of choices on a number of different sites.

I seem to recall something about a site dedicated to New Zealand sceneries too. I think they are photoreal, but may well be wrong on that.

Have you tried Google? Just type in New Zealand FSX Scenery and awaaaay you go!

Just a few ideas. There are a lot of NZ scenery available out, they just take a few moments looking to find them :D

Hope that helps a little bit...

Had a thought...then there was the smell of something burning, and sparks, and then a big fire, and then the lights went out! I guess I better not do that again!

You can get complete photoreal coverage and mesh for a grand sum of $21 from here https://gumroad.com/antdavison# and then cover it with autogen for about another $15 from here http://www.nzscenery.co.nz/

Then you can go and grab individual freeware airfields from http://www.freewarescenery.com/fsx/newzealand.html

or you've got the ORBX or VLC/Godzone options.

Hi Lewis,

Welcome to FlightSim.com:D

If you're using X-Plane 10, then I highly recommend the HD Mesh and Overlay of New Zealand.

This package holds the base mesh part of the highly detailed New Zealand Pro scenery. It contains all the mesh data, road networks, forests, autogen information, water features and coastlines! There is also an extra package with the overlay scenery.

This package holds the additional overlay data, like additional tree lines, single trees, single buildings, and many more special object!

X-Plane 10 Christchurch Airport:

All of the above are freeware:D

There's plenty more sceneries as well, such as Milford Sound, Rotoura and many more. When you add in HDR, global shadows and sloping runways, the results...especially in this part of the world are incredible!

Have fun Lewis and happy flying!
