ryanspringer2294
Hi everyone, I would like to be able to add the coordinates for jetways to all my aircraft. I read somewhere that there is a utility that allows you to do this by visually marking the door position in FSX, but after searching high and low, I can not find it, or even any other reference to it. The only reference to it is here: http://www.flightsimworld.com/forums/topic/159634-how-to-make-the-jetway-exit-codes-for-fsx/ (In the last post). Does anyone know of such a utility? Any help is greatly appreciated. :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
gonpostal
The AES Basepack from Aerosoft would probably be your best bet. It's free of charge. You just need to move your aircraft to one of the airports that AES supports. Currently the default Nuremberg airport and the SunSkyJet KPHL are supported for free. After the parameters are set the coordinates are saved in a .dat file, which you should be able to then copy and paste into your aircraft.cfg file. The AES Basepack can be found here: http://www.aerosoft.com/cgi-local/us/iboshop.cgi?showd500!0,7374052510,D10333 Hope that works for you.
napamule2
If you are going to edit (exits) section of aircraft cfg, here is some info you can use. //openclose rate percent per second, lon, lat, vert positions from datum (ft), //type (0=Main 1=Cargo 2=Emergency) [Exits] exit.0 = 0.25, 29.90, -3.8, 3.0, 0 I am refering to the 'type' entry, which MIGHT make a difference as to results. If you are going to use a 'light' to locate the door(s) using a type 1 light works good (ie: light.x=1,...). Hope this helps. Chuck B Napamule i7 2600K @ 3.4 Ghz (Turbo-Boost to 3.877 Ghz), Asus P8H67 Pro, Super Talent 8 Gb DDR3/1333 Dual Channel, XFX Radeon R7-360B 2Gb DDR5, Corsair 650 W PSU, Dell 23 in (2048x1152), Windows7 Pro 64 bit, MS Sidewinder Precision 2 Joy, Logitech K-360 wireless KB & Mouse, Targus PAUK10U USB Keypad for Throttle (F1 to F4)/Spoiler/Tailhook/Wing Fold/Pitch Trim/Parking Brake/Snap to 2D Panel/View Change. Installed on 250 Gb (D:). FS9 and FSX Acceleration (locked at 30 FPS).
bdf369
ModelConverterX, from scenerydesign.org, has an aircraft.cfg editor which lets you see where the exits and other configs points of the aircraft are located. You can edit the positions and they update in the display in real time. Make sure you download the latest version from the Development Releases page. https://youtu.be/IxVPI0IVSz0
