How to move fsx to new computer

As documented, I'll be getting a new computer tomorrow. Do I uninstall fsx steam from my old computer then install fresh on the new one?

Or is there another way? I have 4 mgps internet. Do have access to 200mgps but that's a bit of a pain to organise.

Thank you on advance, I've not found any definitive answers on the web :-)

Do a search on the Steam support site for moving games. It is possible to transfer Steam games from one drive to another, or to a new PC by copying the folder. However, this may break any third party add-ons you have installed.

With Steam, you reinstall. Uninstalling is not necessary, the Steam client doesn't mind on how many computers you install your games - but it will see to it that you can only run it on one of them at a time.

Steam says quite clearly, that moving your content by simply copying it should not be attempted. Only recently I built a new devel system and was in the same situation. I had installed some Steam content on drive C: already, but I wanted to move it to D: - "reinstall" they said, else you will break your Steam client installation. So I did, and it worked flawlessly. But there is the download time of course - and even at 50 mbit/s the download speed from Steam is not that great. Patience.

Ok that's fine, I have access to someone who has virgin 200mps. Only downside really now is that I have to give someone a lesson in how to work a notebook instead. My first install at 4mps took over a day as I'd only just had internet installed so it wasn't stable.

Also I was looking to run my main HDMI monitor and two dvi either side. 1. Is that possible? 2. What views/options can you have on other screens?

Moving Steam to a new PC is easy as pi. I did it recently: Just D/L the Steam app on your new PC, run it, then enter your previous Steam user name & password - Steam will recognize your existing account - you should be good to go flying.. (I installed Steam on a 500GB SSD C: drive on the root directory - where Win 10 also resides)
