kayser_ad
Hi there, I accepted the update from Win7 to Win10, after which FSX did not work anymore. So I removed FSX, had it checked on compatibility and after accepting the recommended settings, reinstalled it. It did work again. Next I followed the same procedure for SP1 and SP2. As a result FSX works properly again, however, each time when I start up FSX the programme asks to be activated in order to get full functionality, which means that I have to key in the product number and have to wait for approval by Microsoft before I can really fly FSX. When I remove SP2 this problem does not occur. I would be very pleased if anyone could let me know how to get rid of this problem.
jorgen.s.andersen
When you reinstalled, did you activate and reboot the computer BEFORE you applied SP1 and SP2? Jorgen
amberdog1
I had win 8.1, upgraded to win 10 and like you FSX didn't work. I uninstalled it along with all of my addons. I also removed all files too. I reinstalled FSX and ran it, then I installed SP1 and ran FSX again. Then I installed SP2 and ran FSX. After all that I worked many of my addons too. I have had 2 crashes to desktop for dll errors. 1 for a video driver and the other UIAutomationCore.dll and had to download the new one (link is posted with this forum). I have only had 1 plane addon not work but it was 1 I didn't use very much anyway, also I think it was 1 I had from the old Fs98. I hope this will help you out.
