alexzar14
1. Is there a way to select location upon starting the P3D? It always sets me at Eglin AFB. 2. Always starts with same day and month - 09.30.2015, I reset it to system time but it doesn't "remember" it and next time I run it I have to reset it again. How do you make it system time permanent? vgbaron
1) either create a different flight at a specific location and set it as default or have P3D start with the scenario screen and you can select where, when and what you want to fly. 2)There is an option to use system time - check it. alexzar14
2) I check it, but next time I run the sim it is September again. How do I force the sim to remember this (system time) setting?
alverthein
I reset my sims to the current time anyways...as I want it to be in real time as I am constantly flying into different time zones and weather conditions in real time...so it is part of my initial preparation to reset to system time to begin with...al v
alexzar14
So you reset it every time you start the sim?
lnuss
Al might reset it, many of us don't. There is a setting to use system time (I don't recall which menu item, probably where you set the time, but maybe General). I'm not in the sim at the moment, so can't check. Larry N. alverthein
So you reset it every time you start the sim? Hey. that is just me...I have my own way of doing things and when I start my sim and all is loaded I reset it for time of year etc..then I go from there...like also...on a save flight and was dark when I saved it but it is daytime now today in Tucson... I will reset it to Tucson time with the saved flight..Because I do not want to fly at night at that moment...so no matter when I am flying it is on the current time in Tucson.,UNLESS I want to fly when the flight was saved ...Like I said it it what I do always make it a new flight with the current weather with ASN and REX..If it was a saved flight in a foreign country. I google the time in that country and set the time for that country and continue on my way to my destination
alexzar14
I would rather set up a flight and not use a save flight option, because saved flight saves the time and day. But I don't get the opening screen, it always loads that airforce-base flight.
vgbaron
Go into options - I believe it's "Show Scenario" or something similar. check that. Next time it will start in the scenario screen. lnuss
Options/General - click "Use system time for Default Flight." That should set you up for the future. However, on the "Scenario" screen at startup, where you can change airports, aircraft, etc. before flying, you can also hit "Reset To System Time." You can get to that same screen with ALT-W, which is "World/Time and Season" on which you can click General and then "Use system time for Default Flight," or click "Reset To System Time." Larry N.
