FSXmarc
Hey guys I'm not sure if its a model problem but it looks to me in the plane viewer and in free flight like the Captain Sim 757 model is bigger than the QualityWings 757? I'm not sure if its a scaling problem but someone please tell me they are the same size, the QW757 looks tiny on the plane selection screen :(
N2056
There are a number of things that can affect the size of the model in the preview screen. I would go by what you actually see in the sim. Robert Kerr 3D Modeler & Texture Artist I7 4790K @ 4.4ghz, GTX-970 w/4GB, 8gb DDR 3 RAM, two SSDs, and Win 7 64 bit.
FSXmarc
I looked and it seems the QW model is smaller!
N2056
It could be. I don't have either model, so I can't really offer much more. evm
You can zoom that preview screen (and rotate the model) freely, so size is completely relative. Some models have a different radius stored in the MDL right away, which influences the zoom in the preview window. I encouter this too from time to time. Has nothing to do with the "physical" dimensions of the model in the sim. IIRC there was a tool around where you could adjust the radius in the MDL file. At least for some models. ScatterbrainKid
In free flight go to outside view and hold down the keys 'Right control' and '-' to move your view nearer to the plane (and 'R-ctrl' and '=' to move it away).

You can't make a comparison with just one piece of data. ;) Being an old chopper guy I usually fly low and slow.

Rupert
BTW: Should you want a tiny Hot Rod of a plane, try the Honda Jet.;) The download is free!! And the Hostess/Co-Pilot is part of the package! However, you'll probably have to cope with a passenger in the small cabin as well! Being an old chopper guy I usually fly low and slow.
