What a beauty, Adam, I served eight years in the USCG and knew we had PBYs, but never saw one in that livery, absolurely sensational. As a child, we summered on Martha's Vineyard in a cottage my grandfather had built on pond front property. The island served as a military training center during WW II and there were several encampments of various services located there. One was the Naval air station, now KMVY, and in addition to navy and marine training units, there was at least one group of PBY's there. My father was friendly with one of the Cat pilots and they used to land their beast in the pond in front of our cottage. What a blast as a young lad to see a big airplane like that drop out of the sky onto the water just beyond the front yard. Dad and I would go out in the skiff and collect the crew for a short shore leave and some burgers and hot dogs. Your post brought back a lot of memories, my friend.

Great shots Adam, hats off. When it comes to payware, my absolute No.1 is the Catalina.

May I contribute three pics of mine to your thread?

Thank you Jan, for your kind words. I think aerosoft have hit the jackpot with the cat. One of the best-ever payware models for FSX.
