amberdog1
Thanks for trying. I still can't find why FSX is crashing. I'm sure it's a .dll file but I'm lost in trying to find it.

il88pp
I think you need to reinstall Microsoft MSVCRedist 2005 Problem here, I googled it, and it looks like Microsoft removed the download. (Scares me a bit to be honest. Many progs need the thing.) (I have it in a backup, but that's of no use to you of course.) I did not search the web far and wide. So it may be offered by Microsoft still. Not sure. And come to think of it, there may be an installer for it on you FSX discs. Because when fsx installs it installs this too. Edit: Yes, I checked, it is on Deluxe disk 1 in the root of the DVD vcredist_x86.exe [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
amberdog1
And here it is. http://download.cnet.com/Microsoft-Visual-C-2005-SP1-Redistributable-Package-x64/3001-10250_4-10732887.html?hlndr=
il88pp
Ok, but that is the x64 version. I think you need the x86 version. People with a 32 bit OS will definitely need that 32 bit x86 version. Also a tip, it is better to link to a page before that, where it is explained, and not to a page where a download starts automatically. (And of course it would be much safer to download such software from the manufacturer (Microsoft) if that were possible). In this case the version on your FSX Deluxe install disk is fine. (thanks though.) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
il88pp
I just found the x86 version on that same site. When I went to it and clicked on download, my AV popped up a warning a Trojan had been detected. I removed the Trojan. I did download the file vcredistx86, but I shredded it after that. I don't trust it. I had issues with that site before. (cnet) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
