A2A Civilian Mustang control problem.

I just recently purchased and installed the Wings of Power 3 Civilian Mustang to my FSX. I installed both service packs to it and got it fully functional no problems. The problem comes when I start the engine and try to fly the plane. I have a Logitech 3D pro joystick and the view hat works and the change views and everything, but when i pull back on the stick or try to use the ailerons using the stick, they don't move, in fact, the controls seem to be set to the trim tabs INSTEAD of being set to the rudder, the ailerons or the elevators. I don't have the Military version of the mustang and I am wondering if the Accu Sim came with this aircraft and whenever I try to update the core, it says that it cannot be found. My computer is a 2013 HP with Windows 8.1 and the processor is am AMD A8-6500 APU with Radeon HD Graphics 3.5 GHZ with 8GB of RAM (7.18 GB usuable) 64 bit operating system. Anyone have any idea how to correct or fix this problem to where I have control of my flight surfaces in my joystick instead of the keyboard or is there a mapping solution? Any info would be so greatly appreciated.

According to the A2A site, the Accu Sim could be bundled with the purchase of the civilian Mustang or if you had it with the Military Mustang, there was no need to repurchase.

Does your joystick respond correctly with other aircraft such as default?

Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!  ✈️

It does. Immediate response and really that aircraft is the only plane in my fleet that behaves that way. The keyboard controls the control surfaces instead of the joystick. In fact, i was able to take the old Shockwave P-51 from FS2004 and import it into FSX, flies like a charm, just less detailed.

There's a thread about the Mustang at the A2A forum which gives advice such as-

"..you must still download and apply the latest Accu-Sim core update after installing the Accu-Sim pack for this aircraft.

Always remember, to install any core Accu-Sim aircraft in this order to insure a solid install:

1. Aircraft

2. Accu-Sim Pack

3. Accu-Sim Core update

I read that post, but would that necessarily have anything to do with only the keyboard being able to control the flight surfaces, or something else?

Yes. it would. Simply reinstall in that strict order, then report back.

My guess is that the accusim module didn't install correctly, but how the update didn't pick this up is beyond me - you did monitor the update as it progressed for error messages and warnings?

Weird, your best bet would be to have a shower, brush your teeth, comb your hair, strap on your sixgun and go into the A2A forum to ask there, because they've got your money..:)

But if you want any help, be polite! ;)

Being an old chopper guy I usually fly low and slow.

Well, here's the good news. I got the problem solved. What it boils down to is when you get their plane, you gotta purchase the ACCU-Sim package separate. And when you do install it, you have to install it in the order given, the plane, then accu-sim, then the update, and everything works like a charm.
