Can anyone suggest if it's possible to add flashing white landing lights, as fitted to the S-76. See various youtube videos (type in Helijet landing Vancouver and you'll see what I mean). Its easy enough to edit landing lights etc in the aircraft .cfg file. However, the S-76 has 2 forward pointing lights in the nose which flash alternating left/right about once a second. Even just having both flashing together would be ok. Any ideas

Just to make it easier for some to see what you are saying.

Those types of lights would probably have to be added to the model by the developer. Curious if these lights would be only a flashing type or could be also steady? If you wanted to be a little funky, you could probably position 2 flashing strobe lights to the nose area.

You can put a mirror-ball in the cockpit too!

Then, along with the strobed landing lights and all, play some Disco over the PA system, and have a really fun flight!

Have the flight attendants dress up in Miniskirts, and go-go boots, bee-hive haircuts...

;) :p

I better stop here...

Had a thought...then there was the smell of something burning, and sparks, and then a big fire, and then the lights went out! I guess I better not do that again!

There are some, and I've personally seen it, that love having plashing (not a spelling oversight) lights and dingleballs hanging down all over their jitneys!;)

Yeah, some of the jitney's (we called them jeepnies) in the PI were something else! A disco on 3 wheels. Made for fun rides, and big tips for the drivers...

Ever seen a Philippino bar gir dancing in a moving jitney?? Nearly tipped us over a few times. ;) Fun to watch though. They jiggle...Shutting up now, my lovely wife is glaring at me. [/cringe]

To drag this back on topic, those are called pulse lights.

As stated, it is not possible to add them to the model so you could see them from inside the plane.

You could add effects so they would appear in an outside view, if you can either code the effects or find some that are OK to use.

I know that there are payware aircraft that have pulse lights, I have not seen anything freeware with them,....I think.

I thought I had an addon for Beavers that added pulse lights, I cannot now find it.

Maybe someone else has seen it.

I was reading that someone suggested that a FFSX 727 had pulsing landing lights. Haven't found one yet!

Found some good info from N4GIX about pulse lights! http://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/threads/pulsating-light.37792/
