Carenado night panel 2

Just so you know, there is a section of the Panel.cfg file that lets you adjust the color and brightness of the lighting and gauge lighting at night.

Usually, at the bottom of the panel.cfg file is a section similar to this:

Day=255,255,255

Night=223,255,223

Luminous=145,246,149

The three numbers on each line represent the Red, Green, and Blue values. If, for example, the first number is much higher than the other two, the lights will be red colored. The higher the numbers, the brighter that particular color.

If they are all equal, the lights are white. Easy enough to change the numbers, and test.

BUT, it sounds like you fixed the problem. You might want to keep this all in mind, though, if you don't like the way a panel is lit at night.

Just a thought...

Had a thought...then there was the smell of something burning, and sparks, and then a big fire, and then the lights went out! I guess I better not do that again!

Let's tweak this a bit...

If they are all equal, the lights are white.

...should be, if they are all equal the lights will be a shade of gray.

0,0,0 is solid black.

255,255,255 is pure white.

Thanks for jumping in there pat, i didn't know this, or forgot:) good to know.

Glad to do my little bit! :D

I am a huge fan of the new "green" night/NVG capable cockpit lights the Navy/MC use in choppers, and many other aircraft. I tend to adjust my plane's panels to make it that whenever I can. I also tend to replace whatevre vc_lighting is used in the lights section of the plane's aircraft.cfg to one of several green ones. Whichever one works best, for my preferences. But that's just me.

My thanks, Mr. Bean, sir! I learn something new every day, if I am not very careful :)

Have fun everyone, and may all your planes do what you want the way you want, and may they all look the way you like them to!
