kiri
Hi: Iv learned that maybe its good to modifie some lines on the FSX cfg file. a)Affinity Mask (14) and b)On "bufferpools" enter BP=0. Of course there are many other modifications to consider, but my doubt is if all these modifications are going to work on FSX-SE. Iv seen that they are normally checked on FSX but not on FSX-SE. Any comment or help?. Many thanks, kiri.
svpst
Go on the steam site. They have a guide video which tells you how to maximize the setup in FSX-SE. Brian W. PhantomTweak
The trick is to make 1 change. Make a backup BEFORE you start. Make the 1 change, then see how it works. Is it working better? Yes, leave it in. No, put it back to what it was.. Do this for EVERY change you want to make. Some changes are, in fact, beneficial in SE, some are ineffective at doing anything, some are detrimental. What you need to do, if you want to make changes in how it works, is match it to your system. Does THIS change make it work better, ON YOUR SYSTEM? If not, put it back to original. If so, leave it in. It's a bit of a slow process, but once you've got it as good as it will get, ON YOUR SYSTEM, leave it alone. Once you have it the way you like it, make a copy, and keep it someplace safe. That way, if it ever reverts to default (and mine has few times during updates from Steam), or becomes corrupted somehow, you can put it back to the way it works best. ON YOUR SYSTEM. See a pattern here? :D There are a number of FSX.cfg "How to" write-ups available out there. Look through them, read their instructions, make a change, etc etc. Not all changes work well on all systems. On MY system, for example, the Affinity Mask change is meaningless, because I am running on a dualcore. So, I don't bother to put it in. This is just one example. Hope all those generalizations help out a little. It's the best anyone can do, unless they are working with you. ON YOUR SYSTEM :D Pat☺ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Had a thought...then there was the smell of something burning, and sparks, and then a big fire, and then the lights went out! I guess I better not do that again! Sgt, USMC, 10 years proud service, Inactive reserve now :D
mabe5454
In reading the OP I started wondering if once one installs FSX-SE, Nvidia Inspector would be able to see/recognize it like it does with the box one and FS9? Cheers,
