pplir2000
Hi All, I have new Windows 10 machine with FS2004 installed on an external drive connected via USB. When I run EVP 3.1 (as adminstrator, and on the USB drive) I get this message "The Registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator\9.0 is missing or does not point to a valid installation of Flight Simulator." Some have suggested a re-install, but I want to avoid this if possible. Is there anybody out ther who knows how to insert this key via regedit, and can explain it step by step? I wait in hope. JSkorna
You need to use the free, Flight1 registry repair tool. http://www.air-source.us/images/sigs/000219_195_jimskorna.png

il88pp
It could be that the registry key was not changed or removed. Another option is that you have unplugged the drive since installing, or unplugged/plugged in other drives, and that the drive lettering has changed. Then the reg key could point to: F:\\---fs2004--- while the drive is now plugged in as: G:\\---fs2004--- [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
