HoratioWondersocks
Try to start FS2004 and I get an error screen saying login with administrator privileges and try again. I am the Administrator....How do I get it to Start? drundell@hotmail.com I think it's to do with this. Check this thread..... https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?293089-Sim-won-t-load Andy PS If your problem IS related to this automatically downloaded windows update file, then its easily fixed. All you need to know is in the thread I've posted the link to above. PPS Pay particular attention to Longbreak754s contributions to that thread. You should be airborne again very soon. copperpen
Try to start FS2004 and I get an error screen saying login with administrator privileges and try again. I am the Administrator....How do I get it to Start? drundell@hotmail.com Although you are the Administrator on your computer, this does not automatically transfer administrator rights to any program on your computer. It means that you must run the program using the Run as Administrator which is found when you right click on the exe. To avoid this problem entirely any game or sim must be installed outside of any flavour of Program Files folders on the OS drive, in most cases this would be the C drive. tgibson_new
Although good advice in general, this message probably has nothing to do with admin rights and everything to do with the Windows update described in the links given in the posts above this. copperpen
You may well be right, but with a certain lack of hard information in the OP it is worth exploring other avenues.
