2015 was the 80th anniversary of the tragic loss of Kingsford Smith and Tommy Petherbridge on 8th Nov 1935 so I'd like to post this in commemoration..

Below- Fokker Southern Cross, 4-man crew and associates at Los Angeles in May 1928 before the first TransPacific flight to Australia.

2nd from left- Harry Lyon (American, navigator), 4th- Jim Warner (American, radio operator), 6th- Charles Kingsford Smith (Australian, pilot), far right-Charles Ulm (Australian, co-pilot)

The TransPacific flight was in 3 hops-

1- California to Hawaii

2- Hawaii to Fiji

3- Fiji to Brisbane

I never saw this movie, but I enjoyed the PG warning. Sounds like that reviewer has been in my garage while i "repaired" old cars!!
