cavalierjan19
Hi, During a Black Friday sale i bought the Just Flight Dc-8 10 to 40 series aircraft. The scrrens below were all taken during it's "maiden" flight. So far, I think it's a very good bird, just that the manual is a little bit short (but yet, informative and well illustrated). The airport is Alice Springs Intl. BTW I know the airline doesn't belong here, but I chose a random version of this aircraft, so that's why I'm flying in such a combination. Virtual Cockpit. Rolling. The rudder is turning right, I'm havin this issue for a time, I'm going to fix it some day when I can acess FSX on my second PC. Nice view. Banking. Flying using the "stick and rudder". No autopilot, the only thing I've done is tuning in the VOR frequency. Some clouds and a DC-8. Closing the airport. Don't try this at home. Going around. Tower view. cavalierjan19
Part 2 First officer's view. Second attempt. Not perfectly alligned, but we'll make it down safely. Flaring. Characteristic DC-8 nose. Trollydolly
Great pictures, great airplane. The DC-8 was my first and only visit to an airliner flight-deck when I was a youngster and is an experience I'll never forget. I am tempted to purchase this plane having looked at your examples:) Hold my beer and watch this...

FlexibleFlier
Very nice. I flew the real thing for Eastern Air Lines back in the '60s. Interesting mix of old and new technology for its time. Kind of a lumbering beast but fun, especially when reversing the 2 inboard engines in flight because it had no spoilers. Good times...
av8tor98
It took JF long enough to finally patch this software that had a bugged HSI...it dropped the frame rates while in turns. At any rate, very nice job on the pics! cavalierjan19
Thanks for the comments guys, Eventually, I guess I'm never gonna fly on a real DC-8, but the Just Flight Dc-8 in FSX is more than satisfying.
