gippslandblanik1
Since recently installing Windows 10 I can't edit aircraft.cfg files like I did all the time in Windows 7. I get a message that I must contact the Administrator to get permission. I am the Administrator and only user on my PC but I cannot find any settings that fix this problem. I believe W10 has improved the overall performance of FSX but the "dumbed down", everything being called an "app" format is annoying. Any help would be much appreciated. Billd
I copy the file to the desktop, edit the file, save changes, then copy and paste the file back to where it came from. Let the edited file replace the changes.

krasen
Greetings Folks, Another option is to right-click the aircraft.cfg file and select "OPEN WITH." Next choose Notepad, you'll be good to go, especially if you tell it to always open the .cfg files with Notepad. Respectfully, Brian
