evm
Hi @ll, having a strange effect lately with tubeliner flights. Everything is just fine when preflighting, taxiing, taking off, climbing out and cruising. But when I finally descend to the destination, especially on cloudy days (Rex4+ASN), on approach/ finals I noticed that all the ground textures are a blurry mess, sometimes FPS go south too. Has anyone experienced something similar and can point to it's cause? My FSX is a rather large setup and heavily tweaked. I'm running DX10. I'm guessing here, but maybe trying out the FSPS Fiber tool did something to the sim. I should have noticed this though, as I manage my configs outside the sim and I am made aware by the software about diffs.
cianpars
During approach, there is scenery for fsx to load, especially as you get closer to the airport or have local scenery added. Thus, you will need either a better system or turn settings down a bit. Heavy cloud will worsen the affect as again more is being loaded into the sim. Blurries indicate a system that is not keeping up with the demands of fsx. Could also be a case of using the wrong fiber setting. Could also be caused by using the wrong tweaks or too many tweaks. See what happens with an fsx.cfg rebuild. evm
hi Ian, thanks for your answer. The thing is, I didn't have this problem until recently. Rebuilding the CFG should not be necessary, because as far as I can track, it hasen't changed. My external config manager rebuilds it every time anyway. I will experiment with the fiber frame setting, although I don't understand why it only has this effect to the end of the flight, and only after flying at an altitude. VFR stuff is perfectly fine
