Tigani Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 hello I have wilco A320 and it stops very quickly after landing i think that the problem from toe_brakes_scale but i am not sure my value right now is toe_brakes_scale=0.544 any help ?
mrzippy Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Are you using autobrakes? Normally when landing, you should have the autospoilers set and use reverse thrust to slow the aircraft. Minimal braking should be used for the final slowing to taxi speed. Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!

mrzippy Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 sir i dont mean that I want to reduce spoilers effect after landing spoilers up reverse set , all things is OK but the plane stops so quickly it reach 60kt in short time I think you are a bit confused. Autospoilers deploy the spoilers automatically when the mainmounts contact the runway. Autobrakes automatically apply the toebrakes at the same time. I don't recommend autobrakes. Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!

pschlute Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Ahhh I see so what is the right procedure for my problem ? You could start by telling us how you are braking..... with manual toe brakes or with autobrakes ?
il88pp Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Lol :) shouldn't that be called podal breaking... ;) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
PhantomTweak Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 I hate it when my podal breaks. Very messy. Pieces of podal everywhere, then ya gotta sweep them up and try to fix the thing... Total pain in the podal, no question :D Sorry, I couldn't resist. :p ;) Pat☺ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Had a thought...then there was the smell of something burning, and sparks, and then a big fire, and then the lights went out! I guess I better not do that again! Sgt, USMC, 10 years proud service, Inactive reserve now :D

mrzippy Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 I use autobrakes OK now try doing your landing without setting the autobrakes. Only apply toe brakes in short bursts and only when you slow down using the reversers. Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!
Tigani Posted November 13, 2015 Author Posted November 13, 2015 hmmmm so there is NO any thing to edit in aircraft.cfg ? or .air file ?
mrzippy Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 hmmmm so there is NO any thing to edit in aircraft.cfg ? or .air file ? If your autobrakes are engaging without you pushing any buttons for it in the cockpit, then look in your .cfg file for this: add the 2 slashes. [brakes] parking_brake = 1 //Parking brake available toe_brakes_scale = 1.3500 //Brake scalar //auto_brakes=4 Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!
Tigani Posted November 14, 2015 Author Posted November 14, 2015 yup it’s all OK now thanks everyone special thanks for mrzippy :D
