Is there any difference when approaching an airport while in the VC? What airport and is this an updated one or FSX default? What is your AI setting? If you have a high AI setting and lots of AI aircraft on the ground, it will greatly affect your FPS and smoothness.

When I approach a Hi-Def airport like KLAX with lots of AI aircraft, I can actually freeze for a few seconds before landing.

Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!  ✈️

i never use AI traffic, and this problem to all airport, of course, more lower FPS if i use VC, i want my 2D view FPS same like when i vacated the runway, the fps increase to 29, if approach they drop to 20-25-23- like i said before

this problem makes me confuse, because, it happen only at approaching side :'(

edited : ya updated FSX, already used SP1

If you installed SP1 how about SP2? I'm thinking that a drop in FPS while approaching an airport is going to be normal. When leaving the airport it's normal for FPS to increase depending on your scenery. I think you will fight a losing battle trying to keep a steady, locked 30 FPS for an entire flight start to finish.
