About This File
FS2002/FS2004 Unreal Aviation Fictional AS-3 Airship "Voyager". Designed in 1935 by The Talent Company Limited as an expedition and sightseeing platform, the AS-3 was a contemporary of the then current Goodyear designs and initially out-performed them. Goodyear, who made the envelope, moved on to bigger and better machines which quickly left the AS-3 behind in every sense. Nonetheless, "Voyager" remained in service until 1942 when she was moved to Brazil and was never heard of again. Some say that P.A. Talent was embarrassed by the whole thing and that the AS-3 had been a retrograde step, not in keeping with the groundbreaking ingenuity of his earlier aircraft. Here she is in her passenger-carrying configuration with nine seats, four in a club layout (complete with folding tables) and warm wood panelling. By Kevin Bryan.
