About This File
FS2004 Mount St. Helens Scenery Package, Washington (WA). The Mount St. Helens Scenery Package covers 1,050 square miles of terrain with photoreal satellite imagery up to 8M per pixel. It also includes the four major visitor centers in the coverage area. They are the Hoffstadt Bluffs Visitor Center, Weyerhaeuser/US Forest Service Learning Center, Coldwater Ridge Visitor Center, and the Johnston Ridge Observatory. Each building accurately depicts the location and appearance of their real-world counterparts and features photorealistic textures. The package features accurately rendered parking lots via the use of AFCAD. Each visitor center parking lot is loaded with detail, such as simulated parking islands with curbs and two-lane driveways. Dozens of cars are also parked in each one, parking lot lighting that really works at night, and at each visitor is a helipad. Other details include a static helicopter at the Johnston Ridge Observatory, school, tour, and charter buses, and the KOMO TV Newstar 4 satellite truck. Scenery package by Steven Rosenow, visitor center buildings by Larry Silsbee.
