About This File

WW I British biplane fighter. The rugged little SE5a was fast and, unlike the Sopwith Camel, easy to fly. Several of Britain's best fliers, including Albert Ball and Edward "Mick" Mannock, scored key victories in the cockpit of an SE5a. By Peter Russell.
