WW I British fighter. Sopwith Triplanes of the RNAS were rushed into combat in the Spring of 1917 to counter the German successes of "Bloody April." The success of the "Tripehound" inspired numerous similar designs, including the Fokker Dr. I. By Andrew W. Hall.
