About This File

X-Plane 11.50+ Yak-15 Feather 1.6. The Yakovlev Yak-15 was a first-generation Soviet turbojet fighter developed by the Yakovlev design bureau immediately after World War II. It used a reverse-engineered German Junkers Jumo 004 engine. It was one of the lightest jet fighters made, hence the NATO name of Feather. In total, 280 aircraft were built, and it's main use was converting pilots from piston engined Yak-3's to Jet fighters. Many thanks to Philippe Gastebois for allowing me to update his excellent work: yak-15_uploaded.zip. My mod of Philippe's aircraft includes new metal paint, 3D cockpit (my first ever using parts from Ray Hill's work, again my thanks), removal of warning sounds (annoying) and other small changes. Please give it a try and let me know of any problems. I hope you enjoy it. V1.6 has the wheels contacting the ground (of all things), and increased fuel consumption, the real Yak-15 had very heavy fuel consumption. Documentation included in the download.
