FSX/P3D USAF Douglas C-124A 3rd Strategic Support Squadron. This is a repaint of the Douglas C-124A in USAF colors. The freeware Douglas C-124 for FSX by Jens Kristensen (JBK) is needed for this repaint. C-124s were operated by the Strategic Support Squadron (SSS), which came under the umbrella of the Air Force's strong arm of the sky - the Strategic Air Command (SAC). This C-124A, serial 49-247, was part of the 3rd SSS nicknamed the "Globesters". This squadron was activated in 1950, and based at Hunter AFB, in Georgia. By February 1951 the Globesters had 13 C-124s in their squadron. The squadron was transferred to Barksdale AFB in Louisiana in 1953. They stayed there until 1961, when they got disbanded. Textures are 32bit DDS. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should also work on FSX, and P3D v1-3. By Ted Giana.
