About This File
X-Plane 11 Scenery--CYTF Alma Airport 1.0. Alma Airport is located is located 2.2 nautical miles (4.1 km; 2.5 mi) south of Alma, Quebec, Canada. It mainly offers private flights, but also has storage for private jets. On a recent virtual flight in the Saguenay region of Quebec from two sceneries that I had recently made; CYRJ, Roberval and CYRC, Saint-Honore, I decided to make a brief stop at CYTF, Alma. This unscheduled landing prompted this remake of the small but seemingly well-maintained airport in Alma, which lies almost precisely in the middle between Roberval and Saint-Honore. CYTF is at an elevation of 449 ft / 137 m. There is a single asphalt runway, 13/31 at 5,000 feet (1,524 m). A pleasant morning flight would be taking off from Roberval, CYRJ, crossing the lovely Lac Saint Jean while heading NE for under 50 km, make a brief stop here at CYTF and then keep heading east for almost the same distance to Saint-Honore, CYRC where you'll stop for lunch. Then if you follow the Saquenay river east for about 125 km you will hit the St. Lawrence river; follow the western shore of the river north and in less than 80 km you can land at CYFE. This is a lego-brick scenery and uses the megabytes of art assets already included in your installation of X-Plane. It will compare favourably, at times better, to other (much larger sized) sceneries of this area and will probably exceed your expectations. Please see the included documentation for further details.
