FS2004 Gloster Gladiator Mk2 N5519. A repaint for Dave Molyneaux's FS2004 Gloster Gladiator Mk2. In April 1940 18 crated Sea Gladiators were unloaded at Malta and the Royal Navy agreed to pass several to the Royal Air Force for the air defence of the island. The arrestor hooks were removed and the aircraft formed the Hal Far Fighter Flight. Three Gladiators were given the names 'Faith', 'Hope' and 'Charity' although the names were not official and were not painted on the aircraft. 'Charity' (N5519) shot down a Savoia Marchetti SM79 bomber, a Macchi MC200 and a Fiat CR42 fighters. The aircraft was shot down by a Fiat CR42 on 31st July 1940. Repaint by Peter Watkins.
