About This File
X-Plane 11 Scenery--W32 Washington Executive Hyde Field, Maryland (MD), USA. The word "Executive" associated with an airport often rings of posh facilities and services. W32, located only 8 nm SE of Washington DC boasts none of that. To the contrary, it's as basic as a small airport can become. However, sometimes the little guys also need to be spotlighted. W32 bases the only aircraft maintenance facility within Washington DC's FRZ restricted flight zone which claims to have the most USA experience with the Thielert/Centurion Diesel aircraft engine and C-172 conversions to diesel. To fly into W32, you must first file for an FRZ PIN number from the FAA/CTC. Basing only 49 aircraft, W32 enjoys an average of 111 Flite/Ops/Week, 91% local. Requires OpenSceneryX (OPENSCENERYX.ZIP).
