X-Plane Scenery--Christ The Redeemer Statue 1.0. Christ the Redeemer (Portuguese: Cristo Redentor), is a statue of Jesus Christ in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. From 1931 until 2011 it was the largest Art Deco statue in the world. It is 30 meters (98 feet) tall. It sits on an 8 meter (26 foot) pedestal on the peak of the 700 meter (2,300 foot) tall Corcovado mountain. The statue overlooks the city. Simply drop the unzipped folder into your X-Plane Custom Scenery folder. Note: the OBJ and PNG files can of course be used in any other custom scenery (freeware only). By Paul Mort.
