    FS2004/FSX Afro-Continental Lockheed L1049G, registration YP-WAW (1971). For the CalClassic/Manfred Jahn L1049G. Afro-Continental Airways was a subsidiary of Air Trans Africa and operated a weekly air carrier passenger flight between Rhodesia and South West Africa using this aircraft. When it wasn't flying this once-weekly flight, it was used as a freighter, often with the carrier titles removed. Originally built in 1958 and delivered to Varig, it flew for Afro-Continental from 1970 to around 1974. The Historic Airline Group has this flight available for members. Bergen Air Transport was a norwegian charter/cargo airline with headquarters in Bergen airport ENBR (Flesland) from 1961 to 1977. BAT had destinations mostly of the norwegian and Northern Europe airports, but numerous charter flights were also carried out to destinations within Western Europe. Repaint by Dag Farestveit.

    FS2004 Syrian Arab Airlines Dougas DC-6B. Textures only for Syrian Arab Airlines as it appeared in 1961. This is for the Greg Pepper DC-6B with cb-17 engines available at CalClassic.com. You must have the DC-6B base pack installed in order to fly this aircraft. YK-AEA was originally delivered as SE-BDU to SAS on December 16th, 1953 as "Erik Viking". It was then sold to United Arab Airlines and re-registered as SU-AMA. After the break up of United Arab Airlines, it was transferred to Syrian Arab Airlines in October 1961 and re-registered as YK-AEA. Converted to a DC-6BF in 1970, and then sold to LAC Colombia in February, 1975. Crashed into Cerro el Tablazo, Subachoque, Colombia on February 19th, 1982. By Mike Stevens.

The texture depicts the aircraft as it appeared in 1960. You must have the Convair VBF 240 base pack installed to fly this plane!     FS2004 Swiss Air Lines Douglas DC-4. A repaint for the JBK DC-4 / C-54B v3. In 1947 Swiss Air Lines started the transatlantic service with then new DC-4s from Zurich via Shannon, Gander to New York. In 1997 the public relations departement of Swissair re-enacted that first flight. The aircraft used was the South African ZU-ILI in historic Swiss guise. Big event and lots of fun. Sadly a few years later Swissair collapsed soon after 9/11. Their remains survived as Swiss in the Lufthansa empire. by Hans Wuhrmann.
