FS2004 Southern Air Transport Douglas DC-6B. Based in Miami for many years, was a cargo airline best known as a front company for the Central Intelligence Agency and for its crucial role in the Iran-Contra scandal in the mid-1980s. During the affair, Southern Air transported arms to Iran and to the US-backed stateless mercenary army in Central America known as the Contras, which were fighting the revolutionary Sandinista government in Nicaragua. (I believe that many of SAT's aircraft including Air America....were used to run drugs in the 1960's and 70's in the South East Asian conflict). You must have Tom Gibson's and Greg Pepper's DC-6B Pack from www.Calclassic.com. Textures only by James Craig.

FS2004 Trans Air Link DC-6B N870TA. The DC-6 is a piston-powered airliner and cargo aircraft built by the Douglas Aircraft Company from 1946-1958. Originally intended as a military transport near the end of WWII, it was reworked after the war to be Douglas's answer to Lockheed's Constellation in the long range commercial transport market. More than 700 were built, and many still fly today in cargo, military, and wildfire roles.These textures are for Tom Gibson's and Greg Pepper's DC6 package...located at Calclassics.com. FS2004 Trans Air Link Douglas DC-6A N874TA. The DC-6 is a piston-powered airliner and cargo aircraft built by the Douglas Aircraft Company from 1946-1958. Originally intended as a military transport near the end of WWII, it was reworked after the war to be Douglas' answer in the long range commercial transport market. More than 700 were built, and many still fly today in cargo, military, and wildfire roles. At any rate, this is Jens Kristensen's model (sorry no spinners, TAL DC-6's all had spinners). Unfortunately, Jens has hung up his hat as far as flightsim is concerned. I asked him for a copy of his DC6 FSDS source file, but received no answer. Everything is included: panel, sounds, radar model, and TAL textures by James Craig.

FS2004 Canadair C-5 North Star. Developed from the Merlin-engined C-4 North Star, the C5 was really a short-fuselage DC-6. Only one example was built, it served with the RCAF from 1950 to 1966 as a VIP transport and crew trainer. Includes DC-6 panel, sounds, C-5 model, RCAF textures, etc. Trans Air textures by James Craig.

FS2004 Trans Air Canadair C-5 North Star. These are fictitious "Trans Air" textures for the C5 North Star. (Trans Air had one DC-7B that I know of, and no other aircraft....and was based at Miami Intl back in the 80's and 90's). FS2004 Lockheed L1049 E Livery of LAV 1954 Fix. This is a fix for one of Frank Gonzalez wonderful Constellation repaints. The Lockheed L-1049 E with the 1954 livery of LAV (Linea Aeropostal Venezolana) It came to my attention after flying her for a while that the triple tail of the aircraft shows the flag of Venezuela with the colors flipped upside down. Also the number of stars in the dark blue band should be 7, not 8. This fix corrects all that. Fix by J.P. de Baare / Livery by Frank Gonzalez.
