By Tom Gibson
FS2004 1958 Pan American World Airways Douglas DC-6B CB-17. Part of the CalClassic Archive Project. The Douglas DC-6B in Pan American 1958 jet delivery colors. The DC-6B was generally considered to possess the best operating economics of any piston airliner built. Passengers also appreciated their smooth, quiet ride. Flight dynamics for the more powerful Pratt & Whitney R2800 CB-17 engines used on international aircraft. This is the FS2004 DC-6B CB-17 Base Pack, add other international DC-6B liveries to this package. Requires The FS2004 DC-6B CB-16 Base Pack for panel and sounds. If your engines stop running after engine start, be sure to advance the throttles to about 1000 RPM. By Greg Pepper, Tom Gibson, Jens Kristensen, Wayne Tudor, and FSAviator

FS2004 1958 United Air Lines Douglas DC-6 CB-16. Part of the CalClassic Archive Project. FS2004/FSX 1962 Pacific Air Lines Martin 404 CB-16
By Tom Gibson
FS2004/FSX 1962 Pacific Air Lines Martin 404 CB-16. The 4-0-4 Skyliner was the 1951 pressurized and stretched fuselage equivalent of the modified 2-0-2A having been extensively redesigned to compete with the pressurized and long established Convair CV-240. Production of the Martin 4-0-4 soon ended with only 101 in airline and USCG service after the superior CV-340 was introduced. Flight dynamics for the Pratt & Whitney R2800 CB-16 engine with two speed superchargers. This is the FS2004/FSX Martin 404 CB-16 Base pack, add other liveries to this package. FS2004 United Air Lines Convair CV-340
By Tom Gibson
FS2004 United Air Lines Convair CV-340. Part of the CalClassic Archive Project. The CV-340 made its debut with United Air Lines in November 1952. It had little in common with the CV-240, having a much larger wing and a longer fuselage to lift more weight. Improved transonic characteristics allowed it to cruise higher despite its greater useful load, surface area and drag. The larger CV-340 was more profitable than the CV-240, but when also powered by R-2800-CB16 engines it needed longer runways due to its greater weight. Of the 311 built, 102 were military transports for the USAF and USN under the designations C-131B/D and R4Y-1. A complete aircraft, includes model, panel, and sounds. This is the FS2004 CV-340 Base Pack, add other liveries to this package. By Greg Pepper, Tom Gibson, and FSAviator

FS2004 1956 Pan American Douglas DC-7C Seven Seas
By Tom Gibson
FS2004 1956 Pan American Douglas DC-7C Seven Seas. Part of the CalClassic Archive Project. The Douglas DC-7C Seven Seas in Pan American World Airways colors, circa 1956 to 1958. Pan American needed an aircraft that was able to fly non-stop transatlantic services, even westbound with average winds (their current DC-7B service usually required a stop). Douglas responded by stretching the fuselage by 42 inches and, more importantly, lengthening the wings by inserting a 5 foot extension at each wing root. This gave the new DC-7C Seven Seas (in a clever pun on "7C") not only more room for fuel, but placed the engines further out on the wing, lessening the noise and vibration of the rather loud Wright R-3350 radials. More powerful engines of 3400 hp each were fitted to the DC-7C, and all these improvements stretched the range to 5635 miles, allowing non-stop routes never before possible with Douglas aircraft. The first Seven Seas service was introduced by Pan American on June 1, 1956, and a total of 121 DC-7C's were eventually delivered to the airlines. This is the FS2004 DC-7C Base Pack, add other DC-7C liveries to this package. Requires the FS2004 DC-7 Base Pack for panel and sounds. FS2004 Notepad Gauges for the Super Constellation
FS2004 Notepad Gauges for the Super Constellation This package will add Notepad gauges to the Manfred Jahn/Team 1049 L-1049G and L-1949H Super Constellations. The "standard" Notepad gauges have been modified for these aircraft, due to their unusual fuel systems, etc. Their original AIR files, modified aircraft.cfg files (only fltsim entries are modified), and modified panel.cfg files are included in this package; you will add all other files from the packages you download separately. My grateful thanks to everyone involved for their permission to include these files in this package. You must be familiar with using Notepad gauges for other aircraft for this to be useful.
