X-Plane 11.35+ Handley Page Victor K2 1.1.2. Complementing the Victor B Mk2 (HANDLEY_PAGE_VICTOR_B_MK2.ZIP), we are pleased to now release its later tanker variant. Takeoff requires 2nd flap and unstick is about 190 kts. A very stable flyer, should give no problems. The new 3D cockpit (which is an approximation), will later be updated on the bomber version. If you need to land on a short runway you can deploy the drag parachute from the panel. Below the engine instruments, the yellow button (using tailhook dataref) is used to show and hide the refuelling drogues in their stored and deployed forms. It has a lot of CAD objects in it so is quite a large download. This aeroplane represents XM715 that is on display at Bruntingthorpe and occasionally does fast taxi runs. It has a very interesting history. Compliments to DomHenry for his excellent texturing and fine detailing of airframe and wing attached objects. Turn the volume up! X-Plane 11.50+ Lockheed U-2 B3.1. The Lockheed U2, nicknamed "Dragon Lady", is an American single-jet engine, high altitude reconnaissance aircraft operated by the United States Air Force and previously flown by the Central Intelligence Agency. It provides day and night, high-altitude, all-weather intelligence gathering. This X-Plane model is a research project so I have included the .AC files if anyone wishes to improve/experiment a bit. Any improvements are likely to come from a better aerofoil. Please see the included documentation for further details. Version B3.1: has new/better airfoils supplied via Dan Hopgood. It will now easily get above 70k, faster. The old airfoils are in the folder, for some AI users these may still be better. By Ray Hill.

X-Plane 11.50+ Vought F7U-3M Cutlass 1.0.3. The Vought F7U Cutlass was a United States Navy carrier-based jet fighter and fighter-bomber of the early Cold War era. Regarded as a radical departure from traditional aircraft design, the Cutlass suffered from numerous technical and handling problems throughout its short service career. The type was responsible for the deaths of four test pilots and 21 other U.S. Navy pilots. The aircraft presented here is an aircraft of VX-4, Air Test and Evaluation Squadron Four aboard USS Shangri-La. Credit goes to Beber for the use of his pilot. X-Plane 11.30+ Valiant B1 3.1.1. The Valiant was the first V bomber in service, and the first out of service! It was designed as a low-tech stop gap until the more risky Vulcan and Victor were brought into service. The Valiant didn't have the aesthetic beauty of its Vulcan and Victor stable-mates, so it's the lesser known V-bomber. This is a collaborative work using the existing build previously posted. It is released as a new plane because it has has significant added functionality. Major credits are to Daniel Grimes for his original framework, and also to Dom Henry for hours of detailed graphics work and subsequent object blending (particularly on the complicated intake area). Undercarriage, airbrake, intake geometry and bomb bay improvements were my own main contributions. Includes an operational 3D cockpit, seats and night lighting. Version 3.1.1: modified nuclear weapons for better free fall. Please see the included documentation for further details on this model. By Ray Hill.
