  4. FSX/P3D v3 Arado-96b Updated

FSX/P3D v3 Arado-96b Updated. The Arado Ar-96 was a German single-engine, low-wing monoplane of all-metal construction, produced by Arado Flugzeugwerke. It was the Luftwaffe's standard advanced trainer during World War II. This package is an FSX update for a previous update by Michael Vader. It features a new VC and 2D panel, both based on the Alphasim Arado-196 floatplane. New camera views include rear-seat-view featuring the same crisp panel as the VC. According to Michael Vader, the original designer of the model is unknown, thanks to him anyway. Credits go to Michael Vader for finding this nice model on the internet and for his previous updates. Also thanks to Gary Jones for the sound. New panels and package compilation as well as new smoke effect by Michael Pook.

  5. FSX/P3D v3 Arado-240 Updated

FSX/P3D v3 Arado-240 Updated. The Arado Ar 240 was a German twin-engine, multi-role heavy fighter aircraft, developed for the Luftwaffe during World War II by Arado Flugzeugwerke. Its first flight was in 1940, but problems with the design hampered development, and it remained only marginally stable throughout the prototype phase. The project was eventually cancelled, with the existing airframes used for a variety of test purposes. This compilation of three variants of the Ar240 is an FSX/P3D (version 3) update of the models by Chris Lampard, Morton and Shessy of SOH (reconnaisance, fighter bomber and night fighter). It features FSX compatible all German gauges, a modified 2D panel and a new VC design. Smoke effect and new camera views added. New 2D panel configuration and camera views by Erwin Welker, VC design and configuration as well as smoke effect by Michael Pook. Thanks to the the designers of the model and to Erwin Welker for his cooperation.

  6. FSX/P3D V3-V4 Hawker Tempest VI

FSX/P3D V3-V4 Hawker Tempest VI. The Tempest VI was an extremely effective air supremacy fighter, and many Luftwaffe jet pilots clearly stated it was the only Allied aircraft they feared in equal air-to-air combat. Although the Me-262 had a higher top speed, the Tempest's sheer, brute acceleration potential at low altitude enabled it to overtake a cruising Me-262 in straight level flight. The end of the war led to many aircraft programs being cut back intensively, and only 142 aircraft being completed. The Tempest VI holds the distinction of being the last piston-engined fighter in operational service with the RAF, having been superseded by jet propelled aircraft. Model by A.F. Scrub. 8. FSX/PD3 v3-v4 Supermarine Seafire MkIII

FSX/PD3 v3-v4 Supermarine Seafire MkIII. The definitive naval Spitfire, the Seafire Mk.III featured manually folding wings. The Mk IIIs served in the front line until 1946 and were then rapidly superseded by Griffon engined Mks XV, XVII and 47s. France equipped some of its Aeronavale squadrons with ex-Royal Navy Seafire IIIs and these saw front line service in Viet Nam in 1946/47. It is remembered as one of the finest low level fighters afloat in 1945 and one of the few that could tackle a Japanese Zero on equal terms. Gmax model by A.F. Scrub. (See also SEAFIRE_MKIIIFIX.ZIP)

  16. FSX P-51D Mustang "Sierra Sue II" V2

FSX P-51D Mustang "Sierra Sue II" V2. This is a completely new repaint for the Warbirdsim P-51 D Mustang payware products: "Little Friends", "Happy Jack's Go Buggy: Then and Now", and "Mustang Tales". This repaint depicts the restored P-51D-20-NA 44-63675 "Sierra Sue II", registered N1751D, which is the most accurate/authentic WWII P51 D flying today. A very rare combat-vet survivor, this aircraft served with the 402nd FS, 370th FG, of the 9th AF, based in Belgium and Germany in April and May 1945. The aircraft was restored from the ground-up over a three year period by AirCorps Aviation to bring it back to exactly as it was in April 1945, with historical accuracy down to the most minute detail (duplicated in this repaint). This repaint includes all new HD bump maps, all new external textures and modified VC textures, and multiple repaint/installation options (including additional modifications for P3D). The previous version of this repaint is not required. By John Terrell.

  24. FSX/P3D v3/v4 Supermarine Spitfire Mk VbTrop

FSX/P3D v3/v4 Supermarine Spitfire Mk VbTrop. The basic Mk V was a Mk I with the Merlin 45 series engine. This engine delivered 1440 hp (1074 kW) at take-off, and incorporated a new single-speed single-stage supercharger design. Several Mk I and Mk II airframes were converted to Mk V standard by Supermarine and started equipping fighter units from early 1941. The VB was the first production version of the Spitfire to use "clipped" wingtips as an option, reducing the wingspan to 32 ft 2 in (9.8 m).The clipped wings increased the roll rate and airspeed at lower altitudes. 25. FSX/P3D v3/v4 Hawker Hurricane Two Seater

FSX/P3D v3/v4 Hawker Hurricane Two Seater. The Hurricane was a big leap forward in performance compared to biplanes such as the I-152 in service when the Germans attacked. The Hurricane also handled differently to equivalent Soviet designs and as a result the Soviets asked for a two-seater trainer version very early on. Ten Hurricane Mk.IIs were selected for conversion which involved removing the armor behind the original pilot seat and effectively fitting a duplicate cockpit complete with second windscreen. Having gained experience building the two seat trainers the Soviets went about converting the aircraft with a second position behind the pilot for an observer who faced rearward and was thus not as obstructed by the aircraft’s wing when looking down as the pilot was. These aircraft never had full canopies fitted to them which as well as making them extremely cold in the harsh Soviet weather also caused buffeting problems at high speeds. FSX/P3D native Gmax model by A.F. Scrub.
