FSX/P3D South Vietnamese AF Fairchild AC-119G Shadow
FSX/P3D South Vietnamese AF Fairchild AC-119G Shadow. This is a repaint of a Fairchild AC-119G Shadow of the 819th Attack Squadron in South Vietnamese Air Force camo colors. Daisuke Yamamoto's freeware C-119 is needed for this repaint. Technically this is an AC-119G Shadow. Unfortunately, Daisuke Yamamoto did not make that particular model, thus the adaptation of this AC-119G is not completely true to life. Now if you put that aside, it looks good in the SEA camo. One other minor matter, due to the restrictions within the model, I couldn't paint the top part of the horizontal stabilizer section in camo, as it would reflect that camo on the underside of the horizontal stabilizer as well. So, I used the black gunship color instead. Textures are 32bit BMP. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should also work on FSX, P3D v1-3. By Ted Giana.137 downloads

FSX/P3D USN Fairchild R4Q-2 (C-119F) 691
FSX/P3D USN Fairchild R4Q-2 (C-119F) 691. This is a repaint of a USN Fairchild R4Q-2 (C-119F) colors. Daisuke Yamamoto's freeware C-119 is needed for this repaint. The US Navy Transport Squadron VR-24 acquired a number of R4Qs in early 1961 from a USMC squadron, which was itself getting ready to receive C-130s. After a short time, VR-24 followed the Marine Corps' lead when it began operating C-130s in 1961. Just the following year, 1962, the last of VR-24's R4Q-2s was flown to the 'Bone yard' at Litchfield Park, Arizona. However, R4Q-2s and C-119s soldiered on in other Naval Air Transport Squadrons, Air Force Reserves, and Air National Guard squadrons until the mid-1970s. Incidentally, VR-24 itself was decommissioned in 1993 after 46 years of continual operations. This R4Q-2 of VR-24 131691 was incidentally used as prop in 2004 version of 'Flight of the Phoenix'. Textures are 32bit BMP. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should also work on FSX, P3D v1-3. By Ted Giana.168 downloads

FSX/P3D USAF Fairchild AC-119G Shadow
FSX/P3D USAF Fairchild AC-119G Shadow. This is a repaint of the Fairchild AC-119G Shadow 'Charlie Chasers' of the 17th Special Operations Squadron (SOS) in USAF camo colors circa 1970. Daisuke Yamamoto's freeware C-119 is needed for this repaint. Technically this is an AC-119G Shadow. FSX/P3D USAF Fairchild AC-119K Stinger
FSX/P3D USAF Fairchild AC-119K Stinger. This is a repaint of a Fairchild AC-119K Stinger 'The Super Sow' of the 18th Special Operations Squadron (SOS) in USAF camo colors circa 1968. Daisuke Yamamoto's freeware C-119 is needed for this repaint. In reality this is an AC-119K Stinger. The Stingers were gunships with two underwing J85 turbojet engines for excess power. 26 of these gunships were produced. Unfortunately, Daisuke Yamamoto did not make that particular model, thus the adaptation of this AC-119K is not completely true to life. Aside from that, it looks good in the USAF SEA camo. By Ted Giana.146 downloads

FSX/P3D USAF Fairchild AC-119G Black
FSX/P3D USAF Fairchild AC-119G Black. This is a repaint of a Fairchild C-119C in USAF all black color. Daisuke Yamamoto's freeware C-119 is needed for this repaint. This is an interesting aircraft as it was a test bed for Stealth technology. It was painted black with special $300 per gallon paint, and low-vis grey roundels in 1974. This was years before the low-vis scheme was introduced in the 1980s. Textures are 32bit BMP. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should also work on FSX, P3D v1-3. By Ted Giana.117 downloads

FSX/P3D USAF Fairchild C-119G Satellite Recovery
FSX/P3D USAF Fairchild C-119G Satellite Recovery. This is a repaint of a Fairchild C-119G in USAF Sattelite Recovery colors. Daisuke Yamamoto's freeware C-119 is needed for this repaint. This USAF C-119 ( Serial 5-18037) was built as a C-119 and was delivered to the Air Force in 1953. It was converted to a C-119J in 1955, and then again to a C-119G in 1957. In September 1958, it was sent to 6593rd Test Squadron at Hickam AFB Hawaii. It was officially designated as a C-119J sometime after Jun 1957. The C-119J was specially modified for the mid-air retrieval of space capsules re-entering the atmosphere from orbit. On August 19 1960 it made the world’s first mid-air recovery of a capsule returning from orbit when it snatched the parachute lowering the Discoverer XIV satellite at 8,000 feet altitude, 360 miles southwest of Honolulu, Hawaii. In November 1963 it was flown to the Air Force Museum at Wright Field, Wright-Patterson AFB, and that's where it still is. Check the photos I've included of the satellite retrieval sequence.Textures are 32bit BMP. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should also work on FSX, P3D v1-3. By Ted Giana.172 downloads

FSX/P3D RNoAF Fairchild C-119G. This is a repaint of the Fairchild C-119G in Royal Norwegian Air Force colors. Daisuke Yamamoto's freeware C-119 is needed for this repaint. The RNoAF operated 8 C-119-Gs. All of them were ex Belgian Air Force planes. The eight C-119Gs were transferred to the Royal Norwegian Air Force via the US MDAP program. They were active from 1956 to 1969, when they were eventually replaced by C-130 Hercules transports. Textures are 32bit BMP. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should also work on FSX, P3D v1-3. FSX/P3D Indian AF Fairchild C-119G Jet Pack
FSX/P3D Indian AF Fairchild C-119G Jet Pack. This is a repaint of a Fairchild C-119G with a Jet Pack in Indian Air Force colors. Daisuke Yamamoto's freeware C-119 is needed for this repaint. The C-119 Packet was received by the Indian AF Squadron No.12 "Bisons" in 1954. The Indian Army had to man posts along the Himalayas at great altitudes. Supplies were hard to get up to those areas with a standard C-119, which led to the introduction of a jet engine on top of the fuselage - the Jet Pack - giving it more power and making it the only aircraft in the world with a mix of piston and jet engines. The Indian AF C-119s were eventually phased out on March 31, 1986, after 32 years of service. Textures are 32bit BMP. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should also work on FSX, P3D v1-3. July 1969 was its time to move to the 4410th Combat Crew Training WIng (TAC), Lockbourne AFB, Ohio. It stayed there until March 1970 when it was retired from Air Force service and delivered to the Strategic Air Command Museum, at Offut AFB, Omaha, Nebraska. Finally in 1997 it went to a new museum at Ashland, 25 miles west of Offut, and underwent a major restoration. It is now on display and fully restored, at the Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum at Ashland, Nebraska. Textures are 32bit BMP. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. FSX FA-18 Hornet Update
FSX FA-18 Hornet Update. This is my second update for FSX of the default McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet. It includes everything that was in the first update. I recently noticed that the aircraft would not hold speed, within reason, while descending; and would not hold a steady speed at low altitude when on autopilot. This is now corrected; I made a few other changes to the flight dynamics. What was done before: I added a 2D panel and left the VC panel as workable as before. I have redone the flight dynamics, and added the 4th wheel. Included is a carrier tutorial, because the 2D panel is not visually compatible with the original tutorial. BECAUSE THIS IS A DEFAULT AIRCRAFT, BACK UP YOUR HORNET AIR AND AIRCRAFT.CFG FILES AS WELL AS THE PANEL FOLDER BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO APPLY THIS UPDATE. By Bob Chicilo.1,299 downloads

FSX/P3D v3,v4 North American F-86H Sabre
FSX/P3D v3,v4 North American F-86H Sabre. The North American F86 Sabre was without question one of the greatest fighter aircraft of all time. Development of a purely fighter-bomber version of the Sabre was initiated by North American Aviation on March 16, 1951 as the F-86 H. After withdrawal from ANG service, F-86H aircraft with the lowest air time were turned over to the Navy. The Navy used them both as target drones and as MiG simulators for TOP GUN aggressor training. The F-86H had a similar size, shape, and performance as the MiG-17 fighter then being encountered over North Vietnam, and many a Navy F-4 pilot was "killed" by a F-86H Sabre during these mock battles.
