FSX Bristol B-188 Updated
FSX Bristol B-188 Updated. The Bristol B188 was a British experimental reconnaisance aircraft developed in the early 1960s. The aircraft was expected to run at Mach 2 for extended periods of time, allowing it to study kinetic heating effects on such an aircraft. The aircraft was expected to spend a considerable amount of time with a skin temperature around 300 Celsius. This is an update of my previous FSX update from 2014, now featuring a new and much more realistic virtual cockpit with new side consoles and animated yoke. Automatic afterburner and smoke effect added. I also fixed the transparent cockpit floor. Original model by Bob Hazelcline, Brian Horsey and Ralph Pegram. Updated for FSX, new VC and effects by Michael Pook. The model may work in FS2004/P3D (Version 3).324 downloads

FSX Boulton Paul P.111A
FSX Boulton Paul P.111A 'Yellow Peril' British experimental high-speed tailless delta-wing research and test aircraft. Modified from the P.111 after an earlier landing accident, the P111A first flight was on 2nd July 1953 and the last flight was on 20th June 1958. It reached Mach 0.93 at 35,000 ft and Mach 0.96 in a shallow dive. Boulton Paul Chief Test Pilot A.E. 'Ben' Gunn described the P111 as 'touchy' and 'like flying a razor's edge'. Also, when the undercarriage was raised or lowered there was a large trim change of 4 degrees or more and the landing speeds were high. By Tyler Gladman.313 downloads

FSX EC-130V Hercules
FSX EC-130V Hercules. For the Captain Sim 'C-130 X-perience' "C-130 Expansion for MS FSX" EC-130V Hercules The EC-130V Multi-Mission Aircraft combined a C-130H airframe with the APS-125 Radar and Mission System of the US Navy Hawkeye. This aircraft was for counter-narcotics missions requiring greater endurance than the E-2 could provide, but was also evaluated for Search and Rescue, Fisheries Patrols, EEZ enforcement and as a support aircraft for NASA Space Shuttle launches. Externally the EC-130 differs from a standard Coast Guard C-130 with the fitting of a large rotodome housing the APS-125 radar. Internally the mission system is palletized and was rolled into the C-130 cargo bay to complete the conversion. The Lockheed Martin EC-130V Hercules AEW&C aircraft was first developed for the United States Coast Guard as a proof of concept aircraft by the General Dynamics company. In 1991 one USCG HC-130H7 (1721) was converted to the EC-130V AWACS air-surveillance version. The first flight was on 31 July 1991, and the aircraft was handed over to Coast Guard for 11-month test period on 16 October 1991. The Coast Guard conducted an extensive 5 day search for F/V ATLANTIS which began on October 30, 1992, after the owner of the vessel reported her overdue. The search covered approximately 98,000 square miles and involved 2 HU-25'S from Air Station Cape Cod, 2 P-3'S from NAS Brunswick, 1 C-130 from Air Station Elizabeth City, 1 EC-130V from Air Station Clearwater, 1 Suffolk ANG C-130, and USCGC TAMAROA. All searches resulted in negative sightings. The Lockheed HC-130 is an extended-range, search and rescue (SAR)/combat search and rescue (CSAR) version of the C-130 Hercules military transport aircraft, with two different versions operated by two separate services in the U.S. armed forces. The HC-130H Hercules and HC-130J Hercules versions are operated by the United States Coast Guard in a SAR and maritime reconnaissance role. The HC-130P Combat King and HC-130J Combat King II variants are operated by the United States Air Force for long-range SAR and CSAR. The USAF variants also execute on scene CSAR command and control, airdrop pararescue forces and equipment, and are also capable of providing aerial refueling to appropriately equipped USAF, US Army, USN, USMC, and NATO/Allied helicopters in flight. FSX/P3D USAF Douglas C-124A 2nd Strategic Support Squadron
FSX/P3D USAF Douglas C-124A 2nd Strategic Support Squadron. This is a repaint of the Douglas C-124A in USAF colors. The freeware Douglas C-124 for FSX by Jens Kristensen (JBK) is needed for this repaint. C-124A Serial 49-241 was part of the 2nd Strategic Support Squadron (the "Globe Girdlers"). This squadron was stationed at Biggs AFB and they were equipped with C-54 Skymasters. They were redeployed to Walker AFB in Rosswell NM, waiting for delivery of their first C-124A (serial 49-235), which arrived on July 17 1950. Interestingly, it was the first C-124 delivered to the Air Force for operational purposes. They received 4 more C-124As in August. However, in 1951 the squadron was subsequently transferred to Castle AFB in Merced California, and eventually reassigned to the Air Materiel Command as a Logistics Support Squadron. As for C-124A 49-241 it was retired from service on Feb 13, 1967 and sent to the 'Boneyard' at MASDC in Arizona.. Textures are 32bit DDS. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. FSX/P3D USAF Douglas C-124C Air Materiel Command
FSX/P3D USAF Douglas C-124C Air Materiel Command. This is a repaint of the Douglas C-124C in USAF colors. The freeware Douglas C-124C for FSX by Jens Kristensen (JBK) is needed for this repaint. Air Materiel Command (AMC), formed in 1946, was headquartered at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. The USAF's research and development, and logistics were operated separately during World War II. Later in 1946 they were merged, and became the responsibility of the new Air Materiel Command. The command operated until 1961 when the command was re-designated as the Air Force Logistics Command. The AMC were assigned 3 C-124 Squadrons in the 1950s until MATS took the C-124s off the AMC's hands in 1957. This C-124, serial 52-1089, was one of the C-124s that AMC had at their disposal. It was retired from Air Force service in September 1972. It is now preserved at the Warner-Robins Air Force Museum in Georgia. Textures are 32bit DDS. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. FSX/P3D USAF Douglas C-124C 52nd Troop Carrier Squadron
FSX/P3D USAF Douglas C-124C 52nd Troop Carrier Squadron. This is a repaint of the Douglas C-124C in USAF colors. The freeware Douglas C-124C for FSX by Jens Kristensen (JBK) is needed for this repaint. The Tactical Air Command (TAC) operated C-124s from 1951 to July 1957, when they were taken over by the Military Air Transport Service. TAC used the C-124s for paratroop drops, and formation flying. The C-124s were too large and unwieldy for these type of tasks, however TAC did a neat job of it. They used their experience with the C-124s and put it to good use when they eventually received C-130s. This aircraft, serial 52-983 was from the 52nd Troop Carrier Squadron of the Tactical Air Command. It was used by the USAF until October 1971, when it was mothballed at MASDC, or the 'Boneyard', at Davis–Monthan Air Force Base, Arizona. Textures are 32bit DDS. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should also work on FSX, and P3Dv1-3. By Ted Giana.75 downloads

C-124A serial: 51-5180 was delivered to the Air Force in 1951. It began its life as a MATS aircraft and was stationed with the MATS Pacific Division, before moving on to other squadrons. After a long service life, it was retired and sent to MASDC in Arizona as CQ257 on Mar 13, 1972. Textures are 32bit DDS. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should also work on FSX, and P3D v1-3. The freeware Douglas C-124 for FSX by Jens Kristensen (JBK) is needed for this repaint. C-124s were operated by the Strategic Support Squadron (SSS), which came under the umbrella of the Air Force's strong arm of the sky - the Strategic Air Command (SAC). This C-124A, serial 49-247, was part of the 3rd SSS nicknamed the "Globesters". This squadron was activated in 1950, and based at Hunter AFB, in Georgia. By February 1951 the Globesters had 13 C-124s in their squadron. The squadron was transferred to Barksdale AFB in Louisiana in 1953. They stayed there until 1961, when they got disbanded.
