FSX Noratlas ETAG58 1974
FSX Noratlas ETAG58 1974. This is a repaint of the Nord 2501 Noratlas created by JF Martin some years ago (PROJET_NORATLAS_BASE_PACK.ZIP and PROJET_NORATLAS_UPGRADE_2.ZIP). It is not a very famous plane even though it flew in several European air forces, Israel and some in Africa. However it has an interesting history and the model by JF Martin is really remarkable. But the handbook is in French only and the quickstart is not Ctrl+E, even though extremely fast and simple as you will see. This rendition is the Noratlas #136, one of the four operated by the Escadrille de Transport Antilles Guyane 58 in 1974. Flying in the West Indies from TFFR to all the islands around and to SOCA in Guyane. By Jean-Marie Guieau.198 downloads

FSX Native Yak-23 Flora Update
FSX Native Yak-23 Flora Update. This is an update for the Yak-23 Flora by Kazunori Ito, converted to FSX native by Flywheel J. Wolff, now including three new camera views and a more realistic VC and 2D panel with now all authentic Russian gauges. Flywheel adapted the gauges and the original 2D panel I used in my previous 2013 FSX update and now, in retrospect, I feel that should be corrected. VC and 2D panel don't match at all and some of the gauges I used back then don't even belong in a jet plane, particularly in such a nice FSX native model, so thanks to Flywheel for his conversion. Also included are automatic burner and exhaust smoke effects and now there are visible gauges in outside view as well. I've also slightly tweaked the flight dynamics for better take off and manoeuverability. New thumbnails and Empire sound included as well. This is the whole package although I've not changed any fuselage texture files but most simmers don't like to play around with installing new stuff into an existing model. Thanks to Kazunori Ito for the original model and particularly to Flywheel J. Wolff for his conversion. New panel design, effects and tweaks by Michael Pook.273 downloads

FSX/Acceleration Upgrade For Kazunori Ito's Grumman X-29
By welker
FSX/Acceleration Upgrade For Kazunori Ito's Grumman X-29. Upgrade for Kazunori Ito's Grumman X29 experimental aircraft in two paint schemes. Kazunori Ito is my idol for twenty years. It is a pity that he was forced to stop to continiue with his great hobby in building an incredible high amount of interesting aircrafts. Honouring his work but beeing afraid that this very rare and special aircraft will be lost for actual or newer simulators I allowed myself to upgrade this futuristic aircraft with a VC. Probably the model will also fly in P3dV3 and FS2004 but it is not tested and no guarantee and support ist given. Original model and 2D panel by Kazunori Ito (now with FSX-compatible gauges), virtual cockpit implemantation by Erwin Welker.

FSX Tu-128 Fiddler With New VC
FSX Tu-128 Fiddler With New VC. The Tupolev Tu-128 (NATO reporting name Fiddler) was a long-range interceptor aircraft introduced by the Soviet Union in the 1960s. The official designation was Tu128, but this designation was less commonly used in the West. It was the largest and heaviest fighter ever built. This is the native FSX package LLS posted at Simviation some time ago, now with newly designed and more authentic VC and 2D panels. Thanks to him for his conversion, which made it possible to install a functioning VC. As his choice of the Alphasim Tu-22 VC does not really reflect the real Tu-128 cockpit I've now installed a more realistic one with the pilot and the observer in the rear seat based upon the 2D panel by Sandim of Avsim Rus, so all credit for it goes to him. Additionally, I've added functioning VC light and automatic exhaust smoke and afterburner. All credits go to Dimitry Samborski for the original model, to LLS for the FSX conversion and to Lazerbeak and Y.T. for the extra paints. FSX Embraer Super Tucano Update
FSX Embraer Super Tucano Update. This is an update for FSX of the Embraer Super Tucano by Tim Conrad. I have given it a 2D panel I found in a repaint of the model; I changed the size and position of the GPS; I added, resized, and/or changed position of some of the 2D gauges; I changed the autopilot to one that is easier to read; I cleaned up the 2D panel and HUD backgrounds a bit; and I updated the flight dynamics. FSX/P3D C-160 Transall LTG63 Flyout
FSX/P3D C-160 Transall LTG63 Flyout "Retro Brummel 2021". The Transall C-160 is a tactical transport aircraft developed in the 1960s by the Franco-German consortium Transporter Allianz, which is used by the air forces of Germany, France and Turkey. The type designation of the shoulder-wing aircraft driven by two propeller turbines is made up of the purpose (C for cargo) and the wing area (160 m²). After the Lufttranportgeschwader 61 was dissolved and the Transall of Lufttranportgeschwader 62 was replaced by the Airbus A400M, it is now time for the "old lady" at LTG 63 to retire after 58 years in the service of the German Air Force. But as usual with the Bundeswehr, not without causing a stir again! Repaint of the 50+40 LTG63 "Retro Brummel" in 2021. Textures only, requires the payware C160 Transall from JSS Simulations. Textures by Frank Felix. In the summer of 2021, the Transall with the tactical identifier 50 + 40 was given a spectacular "flyout" paint job. In this eye-catching outfit, the various NORM paintwork from different eras are combined. Many loving details tell of the history of the Transall and its possible uses! Together with another C160, the "Retro Brummel", as it was affectionately christened, went on a tour across Germany so that everyone who feels connected to it can say goodbye. Take care old lady, we will miss you! By FS Repaint Corner.400 downloads

FSX/P3D Save The Skymaster C-54
FSX/P3D Save The Skymaster C-54. This is a repaint of the Flight Replicas Douglas C54 Skymaster available for FSX/P3D. It also works if you port this aeroplane into MSFS 2020. It was painted to represent the real C-54 Skymaster registered 44914, which is undergoing restoration in the UK. The livery the real aeroplane wears is of another Skymaster of the Air Transport Command Atlantic Division, with the serial 56498. She was painted in that livery for a film about the Berlin Airlift, after which, she was donated to the restoration team who are working on her now. You can help to support their efforts by visiting their website https://www.savetheskymaster.org/ where you can help to contribute, buy souvenirs and volunteer your expertise or time to assist the project. There is an instruction file in this package which tells you how to install this livery. By Alan Bradbury.143 downloads

FSX Grumman F9F-8 Cougar Update
FSX Grumman F9F-8 Cougar Update. This is an update for FSX of the F9F-8 Cougar by Robert Richardson. I have added a 2D panel using a picture I took of the VC. Most of the gauges on the 2D panel don't match the ones on the VC because apparently, for the most part, they are built into the model file. I corrected the contact points where necessary; and I updated the flight dynamics. By Bob Chicilo.420 downloads

FSX Douglas D-558-2 Skyrocket Rocket Model v1
FSX Douglas D-558-2 Skyrocket Rocket Model v1. This model is a rocket engine-only Douglas D-558-2, which reproduces the second unit by Scott Crossfield, who achieved Mach 2 for the first time in humankind on November 20, 1953. The turbojet engines have been removed, and it is powered only by rocket engines. This D-558-2 was unable to take off on its own, so it was held on the belly of a Navy-spec B-29 and launched from the air. In this model, the ability to configure up to four engines in FSX is assigned to each rocket chamber with four cylinders on the XLR-8 rocket motor. Since this is a rocket engine, you should always fly at full throttle. This FSX D-558-2 speed control toggles each chamber on and off. The fuel consumption rate is very bad. At full throttle, it can fly at an altitude of 10,000 feet for about two and a half minutes, and at 30,000 feet for about six minutes. When landing, use up all the fuel and glide like a glider to land. So setting up FSX with no fuel limit is no fun! FSDSv3.5 model by uenoshing.297 downloads

FSX Douglas D-558-2 Skyrocket #003 v1
FSX Douglas D-558-2 Skyrocket #003 v1. Douglas D-558-2 achieved mankind's first Mach 2 on November 20, 1953. I've been longing for aircraft since I was a kid, but somehow I got to know D-558-2 six months ago. The reason was that the glory of Chuck Yeager and Bell X-1 was so dazzling that I couldn't see D-558-2. And Albert Scott Crossfield and Douglas D-558-2, who achieved the world's first Mach 2, became my heroes alongside the X-1. The very elegant streamlined design of D-558-2 is very beautiful. It's a very perfect design! The triangular canopy glass is small and the pilot's face appears to be trapped. What a small and unique cockpit. What does the landscape from this cockpit look like? And I was excited to see the powerful take-off photo of D-558-2 using JATO (Takeoff support rocket unit). I wanted to reproduce these in FSX. This model is D558-2 number 3 and is a hybrid of turbojet and rocket engine. I dedicate this model for the great history of aircraft. FSDS v3.5 model by uenoshing. We have not confirmed the operation other than FSX Acceleration.455 downloads

FSX Bristol Type 188
FSX Bristol Type 188. Bristol Type 188, the 'Flaming Pencil' was a British highspeed research aircraft. Designed to meet operational requirement ER.134T for a testbed capable of speeds greater than Mach 2. Due to the anticipated effects of kinetic heating at high Mach numbers, the fuselage was constructed of stainless steel. Two aircraft were built, XF923 and XF926. First flight of XF923 was on 14th April 1962 and then XF926 with upgraded Gyron Junior engines on 29th April 1963. Ironically, the Maximum speed achieved was Mach 1.88 at 36,000 ft. Although the top speed of the Type 188 was disappointing, the airframe advanced understanding and knowledge of structures, oils, electrics, hydraulic fluid, bearings, tires, windows and cabin environment at high temperatures as well as telemetry which was used during the development of Concorde. Last flight was 11th January 1964. One Bristol Type 188 remains at the RAF Museum, Cosford. FSX SE SDK native design with custom 3D gauges and cockpit. By Tyler Gladman.480 downloads

FSX Soviet Fighter MiG-19 Updated
FSX Soviet Fighter MiG-19 Updated. The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-19 (NATO reporting name: Farmer) is a Soviet second generation, single-seat, twin jet-engined fighter aircraft, the world's first mass-produced supersonic aircraft. It was the first Soviet production aircraft capable of supersonic speeds in level flight. This is an FSX update for the FS2002/2004 model by Capt. I. D'Attomo. Unexpextedly, the model works perfectly in FSX but the panels and FDE definitely needed some refurbishing. To my knowledge, this model is the only freeware Mig-19 with a functional VC, because of which I've decided to make it available for the FSX community as well. The package includes 14 liveries: 2 default and 12 repaints by Georgette Kostopoulos. The VC has completely been reworked and the 2D panel is the Mig-15 panel by Pierre Langer, but modified to give it the original Mig-19 touch, equipped with mostly Pierre's gauges. The radar was designed by Philippe Wallaert. Automatic smoke and afterburner effect added. All credits go to the designers mentioned above. All updates and repaint compilation by Michael Pook. The model may also work in FS2004 and P3D, Version3. By Michael Pook.671 downloads

FSX B-47 Stratojet Updated
FSX B-47 Stratojet Updated. The Boeing B47 Stratojet (Boeing company designation Model 450) is a retired American long-range, six-engined, turbojet-powered strategic bomber designed to fly at high subsonic speed and at high altitude to avoid enemy interceptor aircraft. The primary mission of the B-47 was as a nuclear bomber capable of striking targets within the Soviet Union. This is a new FSX update of my previous 2015 update, now featuring a modified and highly authentic virtual cockpit and 2D panel. The VC now includes functioning throttles and gear lever as well as a more realistic interior giving the pilot a better feeling of being in the real cockpit. I've also tweaked the FDE for better performance and flight stability. Automatic exhaust smoke and burner effect added. Thanks to Bill Holker for the great model he had designed for FS2004. All new updates by Michael Pook. The model nay also work in FS2004 and P3D (version 3).942 downloads
