The Majestic Dash8 Q400 is extraordinary, but am having an irritating graphics issue with the Virtual Cockpit occasionally partially blackening. Sometimes it will clear up, sometimes not. Majestic Software has advised to try removing the Shaders/Shader10 files. Another forum blogger advises to leave the Shader files alone. I'm too chicken to experiment with computer files and risk a computer lockup or worse. Any advice/suggestions appreciated. alandsuzie@comcast.net

https://www.game-debate.com/news/29393/microsoft-flight-simulator-most-important-graphics-options-every-video-setting-benchmarked This link will take you to a terrific page that not only outlines the myriad graphic settings, but also provides a simple visual representation of each setting between ultra and low/off simply by sliding your mouse over the image. You can click on the image to enlarge it in a separate window to better see the differences. I don't know about you, but I'm going to use this to better tweak my settings and prioritize which settings I care more about and reduce the settings on those that I don't care so much about. I hope this helps you as much as it's going to help me. I was landing in LGA last night and...wow...my sim almost turned into a slide show when I was trying to check out the NYC skyline.

Hi! I'm running a HP Reverb G1 and I have a problem with the graphics settings. Objects are not drawn until you get quite close to them. That means I have problem spotting airfields since they just look like some messy blobs. I have tried to adjust the parameters and while the quality of everything looks better, that only happens in close to me. It doesn't seem to affect objects far away. Both in X-Plane and DCS I can adjust this. BTW in VR the difference in graphics compared to X-Plane isn't that great. It depends more on where you fly. Since I fly GA aircraft they both have problems on low altitude. Highways in both sims looks ... , there's room for improvement. So do anyone have an idea of how to increase the distance where objects are drawn?

I wonder if I have something wrong in my settings. My computer is Win10 Pro i7-6700k 4GH, 32GB, Nvidia 1070 8GB 1920x1080 monitor. My graphics look very bad compared to FSX. I can't read the cockpit displays. I turned off photogrammetry and all data. Here is a screen capture. https://www.dropbox.com/s/2kjfncjgc2aw6yn/msfs2020%20poor%20ultra%20graphics.jpg?dl=0 Shouldn't I have better graphics on Ultra? Happy Trails

Hello, I recently purcahsed FSX on steam and I am having somewhat of a graphics issue. I have attached screen shots of my rig information and the recent screen shot of in game. I run on iRacing simulator and I get really great frame rates using that but just for some reason on FSX I get crappy graphics. I have a RTX 2060 MSI, I looked online and followed some videos on how to fix this but nothing is working. Please help! Thanks

I'm sorry for all the questions lately. I'm trying to tune my sim by finding a good balance between graphics and performance and it seems like one question leads to another and another. :) When I run P3Dv4 on a single 1920x1080 on ultra high settings I get around 140/150 fps. When I open the aircraft's GPS in its own window fps drops to low 30s! Same thing if I open an ATC window. Does that seem right? Do I maybe have something set wrong?
