I can not get my Sidewinder II to work with FS2004. My operating system is Windows XP - what can I do?

Try uninstalling the software for the joystick and then plug the joystick back in again without the software, Windows XP should recognize the game controller and suggest drivers for it. Once these have been loaded, recalibrate the joystick using the control panel applet and then reinstall the Sidewinder II software again.
