Thread: nothin'says lovin like a cold C152 on the hill

I froze my A²² off today, but banged out plenty of TG's.

I forgot totally that I had a camera with me until I put the control lock back on the plane as I was cleaning up. Well, here is my pride and joy. Although it is missing a knob from the COM- we had an interesting time looking for that (we couldn't switch to tower and I had to fly around while my instructor rummaged around).

Anybody know Worcester? Home of the Crusaders?

That little 152 reminds me of my favorite little plane that i use to fly at my old airport, Same paint sceme. Well a lot of 152s have the same paint sceme, but I havent seen to many with the small registration numbers like the one i use to fly. N48520 was the reg on her.

Needless to say, she is no longer with us. A bad storm came up and threw it underneath of a Piper Arrow that the club had just got painted. The Piper was repaired, but the 152 was not. I think it was sold to someone way up north though. I miss that bird. She had the smoothest tightest controls, and was probably the best flying 152 I have ever flown in. First plane i ever flew, the one i soloed in, and the one I got my private license in.
