    Default Quality screenshot help

    Guys & Girls

Hi, well i have finally got my new computer, specs below, and i have just set flightsim up on it (best game/sim in the world), and i have to admit its been a while since i messed around with the graphics settings because my old computer was a laptop and didn't have any graphics card in that. So, i was flying around and the edges on the aircraft were still a bit edgy, if you know what i mean, i went into graphics menu and im confused by all the option boxes, i.e mapping, anti aliasing, tranform & and lighting, ect ect, do i highlight all of these or are there some i leave out to improve graphics??? Other than that the graphics are awsome and im getting fantastic frame rates, not one judder yet.. Any help would be appreciated, also ive been away for a bit, any cool downloads i should get, like textures, water effects, lighting? I'll post some screenshots soon.

    Cheers
    Steve

    Hi,

I dont know how ATI works but if you go into the advanced settings for your video card you should find an option that allows for you to have ATI software do all of the anti aliasing, this improves performance over having the sim do it. So uncheck the sim option for AA, with the rest try maxing your sliders, and keeping fps at 24. Bring down the sliders until it is at a flying and viewing level that you like. It is near pointless to have a fps past 24, thats more than the eye can handle.
To make this a legit post, I'm gonna post a shot. But next time go to the FS2002 forum for this type of post, they can help you there. The moderators dont like it too much if you dont have a screenie on your post. GOOD LUCK
