Default SF.260 Shots in Eastern Washington

Some cool shots of a bare metal skin set I did for the RealAir SIAI Marchetti SF.260. Took these tonight tooling around in eastern Washington out of Ranger Creek.

Sometimes these turn out rather well ... :-)

    Eric -

Those are some great shots! You must have quite the computer horsepower to be able to keep that mesh set so high. :-eek

    Hope all is well.

    Hey Jeff.

Not really. Just an AMD Athlon 1.4 GHz machine with a GeForce 3 Ti200. Lower end of the road these days.

Wow, how do you get away with cranking up the mesh complexity? My 1 gig machine would be brought to its knees. I keep everything maxxed, except for mesh complexity and visibility.

    What's your secret?

LAST EDITED ON Nov-01-02 AT 11:28PM (EST)[p]beats the ##### out of me. I dont have a problem with mesh or textures. I get KILLED though on AI traffic. I live in Atlanta and trying to fly out of KATL with anything above about 20% AI traffic of the PAI variety will make this machine drop to 1 FPS. I really need to upgrade. Hoping the company will give me a decent bonus at year end to allow for same...but these days who knows...Im not banking on it!

BTW, have you tried this RealAir SIAI Marchetti bird yet? Its friggin amazing. You should try it. On par with a lot of the FSD stuff we're both familiar with. Steve Small at FSD and Rob Young at RealAir are the two biggest FM brains I know. Both create just awesome stuff.
