Default Cessna Caravan or Baron 58?

I know it is illegal to get these straight from FSPRO, so I was wondering if anybody has seen any good models made from scratch? A lot of people have been asking for them, I even did a few days ago (didn't know it was illegal) and I was wondering if I could at least get some good re-makes. I love the look of that Baron 58.

LAST EDITED ON Jan-05-02 AT 02:47PM (EDT)[p]I've seen some examples of both in the library here. Sorry, I can't recall the specific file names, but if you do a search using Caravan or Baron, they'll turn up. They're probabaly a bit dated, but try them out until someone builds new ones for FS2002. My guess is we'll see a large variety of aircraft in the coming months as more designers experiment with G-Max. Funny, after the good add-ons start rolling, the default planes lose their appeal.

A great example is the POS 747's and 777's. The visual model FAR surpasses the default aircraft, yet they were designed for FS2000.

I agree. Try the ones listed for FS2000, and even FS98. Most of them work fairly well in FS2002. I spend so much time trying new ones, I haven't had a chance to pick a real favorite.

Abacus sells a Baron which is pretty decent, you could give that a shot.

Back in the FS98 days, Mark Keith did a pair of Barons. They're obviously not quite as pretty as the FS2002 model, but they look OK (proportions are exactly right), and I helped flight test the models for him, so I know they fly right.

I've not seen any others since then. Dennis Wasnitch (sp?) has done a number of Bonanzas over the years, but the cabin proportions are off a little -- bit of a hump. Othewise they look good, but the flight models need some work.

The only problem your going to have is most of them might use the PRO Guages. So your still SOL even if you get the Made From scratch plane. Unless they have the Whole Panel with Guages. Have not seen one yet.
