and no they are not third party whatsits, This is how ATI work, they leak the driver and then they can disclaim all knowledge, so use them they are good.

They are unified drivers for all flavours of ATI card, so yes i have a 64mgDDR VIVO and they work well.

man my card went from 8052 to 8224 on my 3dmark 2k1.. fs2k runs soo much better and smoother than before.

I know you're running the 8500, but I'm on the earlier 64MB Radeon VIVO, 7200 or 7500. I'm just wondering whether you believe this new driver would make a noticeable difference?

Yes Skypod they will make a difference, if you have 3dmark2001, then check the polygon count thingy after benching the driver.

well it looks like everything is much smoother.. plus i don't have flashing textures upon start of the game after new driver install. i don't have to use powerstrip anymore to fix problem.
